Refund policy

REFUND & RETURNS POLICY

Last updated: September 2026

At Quantum Games, we want you to be happy with your purchase. This policy explains both our voluntary 30-day returns policy and your statutory rights as a consumer.

Nothing in this policy affects or limits your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

1. OUR 30-DAY RETURNS POLICY

In addition to your statutory cancellation rights described below, we offer a voluntary 30-day returns policy.

You may request a return within 30 days of receiving your item if you have changed your mind and the item is in a resalable condition.

To be eligible for a voluntary return, the item should:

  • be unused and in its original condition;
  • include its original packaging where reasonably possible; and
  • include any accessories, components, manuals or other materials supplied with the product.

We may refuse a voluntary return where the condition of the product has been materially affected by use beyond what would reasonably be necessary to inspect the product.

You will need to provide proof of purchase, such as your order number or receipt.

Our voluntary 30-day returns policy does not affect your statutory rights, including your statutory right to cancel an online order within the applicable cancellation period or your rights in relation to faulty, damaged, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming goods.

2. YOUR STATUTORY RIGHT TO CANCEL AN ONLINE ORDER

If you are a consumer purchasing goods from us online, you generally have a statutory right to cancel your order without giving a reason.

For most goods, you have 14 days from the day after you receive the goods to tell us that you wish to cancel.

If your order contains several goods which are delivered separately, the cancellation period generally ends 14 days after you receive the last of those goods.

After notifying us that you wish to cancel, you normally have a further 14 days to return the goods to us.

You do not have to use a particular form to cancel. You simply need to clearly tell us that you wish to cancel your order.

You can notify us by email:

info@quantum-games.co.uk

You can also write to us at:

Quantum Games
81 Thornton Road
Morecambe
LA4 5PG
United Kingdom

You may use the statutory model cancellation form provided below, but you do not have to.

3. RETURNING GOODS AFTER CANCELLATION

Unless we have agreed otherwise, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning goods when exercising your statutory cancellation right.

You should return the goods without undue delay and normally within 14 days of telling us that you wish to cancel.

You are responsible for taking reasonable care of the goods while they are in your possession.

You may handle goods to the extent necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, in broadly the same way that you would be able to examine them in a shop.

If the value of the goods has been reduced because they have been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect them, we may be entitled to make a deduction from the refund where permitted by law.

4. REFUNDS FOLLOWING CANCELLATION

Where you exercise your statutory right to cancel, we will refund the payments we are required to refund under applicable law.

This includes the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option that we offered.

If you selected a more expensive delivery service, we are not required to refund the additional amount above the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option.

We will normally issue your refund using the same payment method you used to make the original purchase.

We will make the refund without undue delay and normally no later than 14 days after:

  • we receive the returned goods; or
  • you provide evidence that you have sent the goods back,

whichever occurs first.

Where permitted by law, we may delay the refund until the goods have been returned or you have provided evidence that they have been sent back.

5. FAULTY, DAMAGED OR INCORRECT GOODS

Your statutory rights are separate from our voluntary returns policy.

If your goods are:

  • faulty;
  • damaged when delivered;
  • not as described;
  • missing components;
  • incorrect; or
  • otherwise do not conform to the contract,

please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at:

info@quantum-games.co.uk

Please provide your order number and, where appropriate, photographs showing the problem.

We will assess the issue and explain the appropriate remedy.

Depending on the circumstances, your statutory rights may include a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.

Where goods are faulty or otherwise do not conform to the contract, you should not use our voluntary 30-day returns policy as a substitute for your statutory rights.

6. THE 30-DAY SHORT-TERM RIGHT TO REJECT FAULTY GOODS

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, consumers may have a short-term right to reject goods that do not conform to the contract.

The precise remedy available will depend on the circumstances and the nature of the problem.

Nothing in this policy limits or removes those statutory rights.

7. SALE ITEMS

Sale items and discounted products are covered by the same statutory consumer rights as products sold at their normal price.

Our voluntary 30-day returns policy also applies to sale items unless we clearly state otherwise before purchase.

We will not use a sale or discounted price as a reason to remove or restrict your statutory rights.

8. NON-RETURNABLE GOODS

Certain goods may be excluded from the statutory cancellation right where an applicable legal exception applies.

For example, the statutory cancellation right does not generally apply to:

  • goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised for you;
  • goods that are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly; and
  • sealed goods which are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons where the seal has been broken after delivery.

Other statutory exceptions may apply depending on the product and circumstances.

We will identify relevant restrictions before purchase where required by law.

For ordinary board games and other standard products sold by Quantum Games, the normal statutory cancellation rights will generally apply.

9. GIFT CARDS

Our voluntary 30-day change-of-mind return policy does not normally apply to gift cards once purchased.

However, this does not affect any statutory rights that may apply.

10. EXCHANGES

We do not normally provide direct exchanges under our voluntary returns policy.

If you wish to purchase a different product, you can return the original product in accordance with the applicable returns process and place a new order.

This does not affect your statutory rights where goods are faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise do not conform to the contract.

11. HOW TO REQUEST A RETURN

To request a return or exercise your statutory cancellation right, contact:

Email: info@quantum-games.co.uk

Post:

Quantum Games

Morecambe

Please include:

  • your name;
  • order number;
  • the product(s) you wish to return;
  • the date the order was received; and
  • whether you are exercising your statutory cancellation right or requesting a return under our voluntary 30-day returns policy.

We will provide you with the appropriate return instructions.

Please do not send goods back without contacting us first, as this may delay processing your return.

12. RETURN POSTAGE

For a return under our voluntary 30-day change-of-mind policy, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods unless we have agreed otherwise.

Where goods are faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise do not conform to the contract, we will discuss the appropriate return arrangements with you and will not seek to make you bear costs that the law requires us to bear.

Where you exercise your statutory cancellation right, the rules concerning return costs described above apply.
